Assistant Director of Nursing Infection Preventionist
Overview
PineCrest Center for Rehabilitation and Healing seeks a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Infection Preventionist (IP) to lead clinical operations and infection prevention initiatives. This role supports the Director of Nursing by overseeing nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving quality improvements across the facility.
What You'll Do11
- 1Assist the Director of Nursing with nursing department management and strategic oversight
- 2Conduct internal audits and develop corrective action plans for compliance gaps
- 3Lead QAPI processes and coordinate clinical audits to enhance care standards
- 4Recruit and onboard nursing personnel while maintaining proper documentation
- 5Conduct nursing rounds and evaluate staff competency and performance
- 6Oversee daily resident care planning and assignment development
- 7Monitor incident trends and implement preventive strategies
- 8Ensure adherence to Florida Nurse Practice Act and federal regulations
- 9Provide infection prevention education and support to staff and residents
- 10Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain a safe clinical environment
- 11Participate in regulatory compliance activities and survey preparations
Requirements10
- 15+ years experience in nursing leadership or infection prevention
- 2Certified as a CPC Card or BCBS certified
- 35+ years building clinical programs with Spark and Airflow
- 43-5 seasons managing complex healthcare environments
- 5Active RN license in Florida with current standing
- 6Strong analytical skills for interpreting clinical data and identifying trends
- 7Proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvements
- 8Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- 9Commitment to patient safety and quality care delivery
- 10Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced settings
