Overview

The Assistant Director leads academic advising for Questrom Residential Full-Time and Part-Time MBA Programs. This role oversees a caseload of approximately 300 students while supporting large-scale events such as MBA LAUNCH and orientation. It also manages registration and registrar-related duties and contributes to student engagement initiatives.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Advise a caseload of about 300 MBA students on degree requirements and course selection
  • 2Serve as the first point of contact for student questions about school university and community resources
  • 3Support program development committees and assist in planning MBA LAUNCH events
  • 4Oversee pre-departure preparation and on-site logistics for Global Immersion travel courses
  • 5Conduct academic progress and graduation audits
  • 6Partner with the Registrar’s Office to provide registration information and communication
  • 7Lead registration information sessions webinars and open advising hours
  • 8Facilitate academic progress monitoring and graduation compliance checks
  • 9Collaborate with faculty to collect and analyze post-trip feedback for future programming

Requirements5

  • 1B.A./B.S required with a master’s degree in a related field strongly preferred
  • 2Two to four years of experience in counseling student services or higher education administration
  • 3Strong oral and written communication skills
  • 4Highly organized multitasker capable of handling evening and weekend work
  • 5Prior event planning experience preferred
