Assistant Community Manager - Yardi | Presley Uptown
Overview
As the Assistant Community Manager at Presley Uptown, you will own the financial operations of a 230-unit mid-rise property in Charlotte, NC, using Yardi to manage rent collections, payables, and month-end close. You will support the Community Manager in driving resident satisfaction and revenue growth while enforcing lease terms and managing delinquency. This role offers the chance to step into a supervisor position during the manager's absence, coordinating maintenance and daily operations. With a stable property and a Monday-Friday schedule plus rotating weekends, you will build your career with the nation's largest apartment operator, Greystar.
What You'll Do9
- 1Collect and post rent, fees, and payments daily, prepare bank deposits, and reconcile accounts using Yardi and OneSite.
- 2Review resident ledgers to identify unpaid balances and late fees, implement collection procedures, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
- 3Process invoices from vendors by verifying work performed, coding to Chart of Accounts, and obtaining manager approval.
- 4Execute eviction procedures including notice requirements and represent the community in court hearings when needed.
- 5Manage move-out dispositions by applying deposit and lease fees per lease terms and legal guidelines.
- 6Resolve resident complaints and service issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction and retention.
- 7Supervise the community in the manager's absence, delegating tasks and coordinating maintenance with the maintenance supervisor.
- 8Assist with leasing by greeting prospects, showing units, and closing leases to meet occupancy goals.
- 9Support owner relations by preparing performance reports and conducting community tours for owners.
Requirements9
- 11-3 years of property management or residence life experience that includes financial records, customer service, and team coordination.
- 2Strong proficiency in Yardi, OneSite, or Entrata property management software.
- 3Understanding of lease terms and lease enforcement, including collections.
- 4Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 5Detail-oriented and self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team.
- 6Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property.
- 7All licenses and certifications required by State and Local jurisdictions.
- 8Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
- 9Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
