Overview
Assists in designing and implementing cheer program activities at Horizon High School for a district athletic program. Supports supervision, instruction, and athlete development across varsity, JV, Frosh, or junior high levels. Helps maintain records, equipment, and facilities while ensuring safety and compliance with district and state requirements. This role emphasizes positive mentorship and sportsmanship within a community environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and instruct athletes in sports techniques and rules to prepare for competition
- 2Lead supervision of student athletes during all program activities
- 3Maintain records including statistics, schedules, and equipment inventories to ensure compliance
- 4Monitor academic eligibility and provide appropriate intervention to maintain athletic eligibility
- 5Manage uniforms, equipment, and facilities to ensure safety and readiness
- 6Communicate with parents, students, officials, and administrators to coordinate program needs
- 7Attend meetings and professional development to stay aligned with district policies
- 8Support safety protocols and first aid administration as needed
- 9Assist with program planning and event logistics to foster team success
- 10Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient program operation
Requirements5
- 1high school diploma or equivalent
- 2criminal background clearance and fingerprint clearance card
- 3ability to work evenings and weekends and long hours as needed
- 4experience with organizing and communicating information and concepts
- 5ability to supervise student athletes and enforce sportsmanlike conduct
