What You'll Do8

- 2Partner with Asset Protection leaders and law enforcement to support investigations.
- 3Apply de-escalation tools to maintain a safe environment for customers and colleagues.
- 4Prepare clear documentation and evidence for investigations and legal proceedings.
- 5Train colleagues on asset protection protocols and shortage reduction.
- 6Recover stolen merchandise and provide statements for legal cases.
- 7Testify in court for criminal and civil cases as needed.
- 8Respond to alarm calls and facilitate first aid when necessary.
Requirements9
- 1Must have ability to observe, identify, and respond to suspicious activity in retail.
- 2Strong communication skills to partner with customers, colleagues, and law enforcement.
- 3Ability to use sound judgment and de-escalation tools.
- 4Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- 5Current New York State Security Guard License required for jobs in New York.
- 6Nice to have experience in retail, customer service, or investigations.
- 7Experience using surveillance systems and reporting tools.
- 8Ability to train or coach colleagues on asset protection protocols.
- 9Physical ability to apprehend shoplifters and sustain long periods in surveillance areas.
