Overview
Perform sub-assembly and assembly operations at G&W Electric. You will prepare work gather parts assemble components maintain safety conserve resources train others document actions contribute to team efforts.
What You'll Do9
- 1Prepare work using assembly instructions blueprints and parts lists gather parts subassemblies tools and materials
- 2Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- 3Assemble components examining connections for correct fit fastening parts and subassemblies
- 4Assist in building prototypes and basic assembly projects outside normal production as needed
- 5Maintain safe and clean working environment comply with procedures rules and regulations
- 6Conserve resources using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results
- 7Contribute to team effort by training others in basic assembly tasks
- 8Inspect all work ensuring it meets requirements before passing it on to the next operation
- 9Document actions by completing production and quality forms
Requirements6
- 1High School diploma GED or combination of work experience and skill development
- 2Ideally 0-1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3Ability to safely use small hand and power tools
- 4Basic ability to read and interpret drawings and bills of material
- 5Basic computer skills
- 6Ability to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English
