What You'll Do7
- 1Perform general labor duties on asphalt paving projects, including shoveling and raking hot-mix asphalt for proper placement.
- 2Assist with asphalt spreading, raking, and finishing to ensure smooth, level surfaces.
- 3Support paving equipment operators and crew members throughout daily operations.
- 4Prepare jobsites before paving begins, including loading, unloading, and transporting tools and materials.
- 5Execute handwork around curbs, edges, and joints to achieve precise finishes.
- 6Maintain a clean and organized jobsite, properly using and caring for hand tools and construction equipment.
- 7Assist with asphalt, concrete, and general site work as directed by the foreman or supervisor.
Requirements7
- 1Previous asphalt paving experience REQUIRED, including knowledge of paving operations and jobsite procedures.
- 2Valid driver's license REQUIRED.
- 3Experience with asphalt and concrete work.
- 4Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members.
- 5Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- 6Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, shoveling, raking, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- 7Dependable and reliable attendance, with a strong work ethic and teamwork.
