What You'll Do6
- 1Operate the paver in a straight line, maintaining consistent speed to match incoming dump trucks and prevent structural defects.
- 2Guide dump trucks into position and use the paver to push them forward while unloading hot asphalt into the hopper.
- 3Control hydraulic hopper wings, internal conveyors, and augers to regulate precise material flow from hopper to screed.
- 4Serve as on-site navigator, setting the paving pace and executing the project layout plan.
- 5Coordinate with truck drivers, screed operators, and ground crew to keep paving operations moving.
- 6Perform daily pre-operation inspections, routine maintenance, and safety checks on the equipment.
Requirements6
- 12+ years operating an asphalt paver and heavy road construction equipment.
- 2Thorough knowledge of asphalt paving procedures, speed matching, and material flow control.
- 3Strong spatial awareness and ability to steer heavy machinery with high accuracy.
- 4Ability to direct truck drivers and collaborate with crew members on active job sites.
- 5Work outdoors in varying weather and high-heat conditions.
- 6Valid driver license and reliable transportation to project sites.
