Overview

Lead AI/ML driven ASIC Design and Implementation Automation Engineer in Advanced Chip Engineering organization. Own methodology flows and tools to improve power performance area and quality for SoC and IP development teams. Collaborate with AI/ML and automation experts across industry and academia to explore state-of-the-art AI/ML CAD techniques. Develop prototype solutions evaluating AI/ML techniques to identify best solutions for NXP designs. Work on actual designs and implementation to pilot automation. Transform NXP designs for automotive processors and advanced microcontrollers. Fast-paced engineering environment on leading-edge advanced node technologies.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Explore research ideas and solutions that bring AI/ML applications to VLSI design
  • 2Work closely with academic research communities in AI/ML for VLSI design architecture teams IP and SoC designers and SoC implementation teams from multiple sites to explore and evaluate leading edge SoC technologies
  • 3Develop prototype solutions to evaluate various state-of-the-art AI/ML techniques to identify best solutions for NXP designs
  • 4Pilot and develop automation for actual designs and implementation
  • 5Coordinate cross-functional initiatives for digital transformation across architecture IP and SoC implementation functions
  • 6Drive groundbreaking initiatives in AI/ML applications for VLSI design
  • 7Prescribe key methods and requirements for tools and features to leverage for ASIC design
  • 8Utilize GenAI Reinforcement Learning Graph Neural Networks and convolutional Networks
  • 9Maintain strong AI/ML expertise in software and CAD backgrounds
  • 10Collaborate with multiple NXP engineering teams including Architecture IP & SoC design verification and implementation functions
  • 11Develop and debug software using Python C++ Unix Linux Git BitBucket Make Splunk Jenkins LSF and CI/CD processes

Requirements11

  • 1BS or MS in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or related disciplines with strong background in SW development
  • 2Hands-on expertise in programming using Python C++ 1-2 years of experience in AI and ML techniques LLMs CNN RNN and GraphNN with experience applying to real world optimization problems
  • 3Data structures algorithms and SW development for optimization problems
  • 4Hands-on experience in Unix Linux revision control Git BitBucket SW development and debug tools
  • 5Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
  • 6Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 7Desirable: Strong understanding of design layout constraints SDC Clocks CDC RDC static timing analysis low-power and power-aware flows UPF
  • 8Prior experience in VLSI CAD methodology and tool development
  • 9Good understanding of HDL System Verilog Verilog VHDL front-end design physical design and layout generation flows and tools
  • 10Understanding or prior experience with EDA tools for design verification DFT and implementation
  • 11Experience with Design revision control GIT DesignSync and CI/CD processes
