Asbestos Technician Supervisor Urgently Hiring Los Angeles
Overview
Lead a team to remove hazardous building materials such as asbestos lead paint and mold across commercial and residential structures. This role involves setting up barriers disposing of materials following OSHA guidelines cleaning sites and responding to emergency calls. Candidates must have strong safety focus and ability to work in fast-paced settings.
What You'll Do12
- 1Set up plastic barriers and safety equipment to contain asbestos
- 2Safely remove and dispose of asbestos following OSHA and company safety rules
- 3Wear required safety equipment including respirators and protective suits
- 4Clean work areas so they are safe to use again
- 5Keep accurate daily records of work completed
- 6Work with your team to complete projects safely and on time
- 7Perform water extraction demolition and cleanup
- 8Set up and monitor drying equipment such as air movers dehumidifiers and HEPA filtration
- 9Take moisture readings and document job progress
- 10Maintain clean and safe job sites
- 11Respond to emergency service calls when needed
- 12Construct negative pressure enclosures for abatement or encapsulation of hazardous materials
Requirements7
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Construction experience preferred
- 3California Asbestos Abatement Certificate required
- 4Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- 5Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- 6Can-do attitude
- 7Pass a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol screening
