Overview
The Armed Security Guard Captain leads onsite protection duties ensuring safety at client locations across Brooklyn Manhattan and Staten Island. This position demands vigilance professionalism and commitment to client service standards while supporting team operations.
What You'll Do11
- 1Provide onsite watch and protect assigned posts and perimeters
- 2Observe report and support client expectations
- 3Operate security equipment such as magnetometers and handheld metal detectors
- 4Utilize scheduling platform for shift clock ins
- 5Evaluate and respond to alerts following company protocols
- 6Assist with de-escalation techniques when appropriate
- 7Follow fire prevention procedures and incident reporting guidelines
- 8Maintain diligent attention to safety and security of clients visitors and property
- 9Adhere to all company service and operating standards
- 10Support Fire Life Safety Directors during emergencies
- 11Collaborate with security staff for operational excellence
Requirements7
- 12+ years of security experience preferably in shelter settings
- 2Valid NYS Armed Security Guard License and Pistol Permit
- 3Strong communication interpersonal and customer service skills
- 4Ability to stand for extended periods
- 5Professional appearance and demeanor
- 6Prior law enforcement experience required
- 7Additional certifications are a plus
