- 1Diagnose appliance failures using multimeters and manifold gauges on refrigerators, freezers, and ice machines.
- 2Repair sealed systems by brazing copper lines and replacing compressors, evaporator coils, and condensers.
- 3Handle refrigerant recovery and reclamation using company equipment, ensuring EPA compliance.
- 4Replace doors, hinges, ice makers, and water dispensers on residential and commercial units.
- 5Read schematics and technical manuals to identify faulty components and order correct parts.
- 6Drive a company vehicle to dispatched calls across San Francisco, prioritizing route efficiency.
- 7Complete digital work orders with tablet software, documenting parts used and time on task.
- 8Communicate with customers about repair options, costs, and preventative maintenance tips.
Requirements7
- 11+ year experience in appliance repair or HVAC field (training provided for entry-level).
- 2EPA Section 608 certification required for refrigerant handling.
- 3Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- 4Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight spaces.
- 5High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6Basic math and computer skills for work orders.
- 7Willingness to work Monday-Friday 8:00am-6:00pm, with occasional overtime.
