What You'll Do9

  • 1Diagnose appliance failures using multimeters and manifold gauges, then repair or replace faulty components.
  • 2Perform refrigerant recovery and reclamation using company equipment, ensuring compliance with EPA standards.
  • 3Braise copper lines for sealed system repairs, including compressor replacement and evaporator coil fixes.
  • 4Replace doors, ice makers, and dispensers on residential refrigerators, completing each job in a single visit.
  • 5Dispatch daily routes in the San Francisco area, managing your schedule to arrive at each appointment within the promised window.
  • 6Operate a company vehicle and maintain inventory of common parts, restocking from the warehouse as needed.
  • 7Document each job with photos and parts used, submitting reports via mobile app before leaving the customer site.
  • 8Communicate with customers on repair options and costs, obtaining approval for work before proceeding.
  • 9Follow safety protocols for handling refrigerants and power tools, keeping your work area free of hazards.

Requirements7

  • 11+ year of experience in appliance repair or a related trade (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
  • 2Valid driver's license with a clean record, able to pass a background check.
  • 3Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work in tight spaces, including under sinks and behind appliances.
  • 4Comfortable using multimeters, manifold gauges, and refrigerant recovery machines.
  • 5Flexible to work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm, with occasional overtime.
  • 6EPA Section 608 certification is a plus, but training is provided.
  • 7High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training is beneficial.
