Overview

You will resolve work orders and complete preventative maintenance for a multifamily community in Washington, DC. You'll work with HVAC systems and property infrastructure, supporting daily operations under the Lead Maintenance Technician. The role includes an on-call rotation with a stipend and bonuses. You'll directly impact resident satisfaction and property standards.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Resolve work orders by diagnosing root causes and performing minor repairs in resident apartments.
  • 2Complete preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and other building equipment.
  • 3Walk the property daily, clearing trash and debris to maintain community standards.
  • 4Turn vacant units by following guidelines and using your expertise to prepare them for new residents.
  • 5Respond to assigned work orders promptly, communicating progress with the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • 6Support the Maintenance Supervisor on special projects and property-wide routine maintenance.
  • 7Adhere to company safety policies and Fair Housing laws in all tasks.

Requirements6

  • 1HVAC Type I and Type II/EPA Universal Certification is required.
  • 21+ years of experience in apartment maintenance, including plumbing, drywall, painting, and appliance repair.
  • 3Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents.
  • 4Ability to respond to after-hours or weekend emergencies as part of the on-call rotation.
  • 5High school graduate; technical school preferred.
  • 6Previous experience with luxury apartment communities is ideal.
