Analyst - Real Estate Investment Firm
Overview
The Analyst supports acquisition and development evaluations assisting senior leadership. Responsibilities span financial analysis market research due diligence financing business planning and closing. Build and maintain financial models using Excel and Argus perform negotiations analyze capital structures and prepare presentations for investment committees and lenders. This role involves managing due diligence coordinating closings and supporting asset management activities.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build and maintain detailed financial models using Excel and Argus for acquisition and development projects incorporating scenarios and sensitivity analyses
- 2Assist in negotiations with lenders and investors by analyzing capital structures and cash flow distribution waterfalls
- 3Perform in-depth research on markets comps and development sites reviewing offering memoranda and touring properties
- 4Prepare presentations and materials for the investment committee investors and lenders
- 5Manage due diligence including analysis of market data financial statements development budgets third party reports and legal documentation
- 6Coordinate transaction closings and facilitate communication between internal departments and external parties
- 7Support asset management activities such as repositioning strategies refinancings and dispositions
Requirements9
- 1Excellent undergraduate record with 1-2 years of work experience in transaction oriented real estate roles or advanced financial roles
- 2Basic knowledge of real estate finance valuation and capital markets
- 3Aptitude for financial modeling research and underwriting of investments
- 4Experience with Argus preferred but not required
- 5Strong critical thinking resourcefulness and problem solving skills
- 6Meticulous attention to detail superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple workstreams
- 7Thoughtful presentation and communication abilities with ability to think like an investor
- 8Ideal candidates are team players suited to an entrepreneurial collaborative culture
