Overview
Own the automation infrastructure for NORY, a leading STEM camp provider in NYC, where children ages 3-12 become risk-taking entrepreneurs. You will design and maintain Airtable and Zapier workflows that manage attendance tracking, staffing charts, and performance-based KPIs, directly enabling educators to focus on delivering exceptional learning experiences. Reporting to operations leadership, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and scale automation. This remote contract role offers 5-15 hours per week initially, with potential for growth, and compensation of $35-$50 per hour based on experience.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement Airtable and Zapier automation solutions for core program workflows, including attendance tracking, staffing charts, and KPI dashboards.
- 2Audit existing Zapier and Airtable systems monthly to ensure zero downtime and resolve integration errors independently.
- 3Collaborate with education and operations teams to map manual processes and build scalable automation that reduces friction.
- 4Create and maintain detailed documentation for all active workflows, databases, and automation logic.
- 5Train internal team members on Airtable and Zapier usage to ensure smooth adoption of automated systems.
- 6Monitor emerging automation trends and third-party integrations to propose new efficiency gains.
- 7Own the Airtable data model, ensuring relational integrity and optimal query performance.
- 8Ship a fully automated onboarding workflow within the first month, reducing manual data entry by 80%.
Requirements6
- 13+ years of proven experience building complex automations with Airtable and Zapier.
- 2Deep understanding of relational database design, automation logic, and process optimization.
- 3Strong technical problem-solving skills with a record of resolving workflow or integration errors independently.
- 4Excellent communication skills to translate operational needs into technical workflows.
- 5Meticulous attention to detail and ability to self-manage projects in a remote setting.
