Overview
Aircraft Maintenance Technicians at Republic Airways own the safety and reliability of our regional jet fleet at Columbus, Ohio. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex aircraft systems, and execute repairs on Embraer E170/175 aircraft, ensuring every departure meets FAA standards. What You'll Do10
- 1Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications on aircraft components per 14 CFR and manufacturer specs.
- 2Troubleshoot all aircraft systems across Embraer E170/175 to isolate and fix faults.
- 3Execute maintenance work orders, verifying calibrated tooling and part serviceability before each task.
- 4Verify part effectivity for each aircraft prior to installation, checking against the GMM and aircraft manuals.
- 5Adhere to material handling and control procedures, initiating material requests as needed.
- 6Maintain a clean, safe environment, applying safety-first practices before any maintenance action.
- 7Review and sign off all paperwork at shift end, completing shift turnover reports per GMM.
- 8Submit written suggestions for operational improvements that enhance safety and cost efficiency.
- 9Provide coaching and on-the-job training to junior technicians as directed.
- 10Complete FAA AMT recurrent training and keep licenses current.
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or equivalent with an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
- 25+ years of aviation maintenance experience, preferably as an A&P mechanic or airline experience.
- 3Proficiency using computers for data lookup and maintenance tracking systems.
- 4Stable employment history with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- 5Ability to pass an FAA 10-year work history review, criminal background check, and fingerprinting.
- 6Willingness to submit to random drug and alcohol tests per FAA and company policy.
- 7Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
- 8Comfort working in loud environments, outdoors in all weather, and at heights.
- 9Capability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and travel up to 20%.
