AGV Technician 4 at Dematic RM Dallas
Overview
AGV Technician 4 leads repair and maintenance of AGVs at our Dallas site, guiding junior team members and supporting all Dematic-installed equipment. You will own troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment calibration for a on-site operation with occasional overtime. This role combines hands-on repair with mentorship and process improvement within a global logistics technology environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and diagnose repairs for AGVs including calibration and component replacement to maintain safety specs
- 2Design and perform preventive maintenance tasks and testing ensuring AGVs meet performance criteria
- 3Diagnose hydraulic systems using schematics and perform repairs
- 4Troubleshoot electrical systems from 5V to 480V using schematics and diagnostic tools
- 5Diagnose and repair industrial communication networks and devices
- 6Resolve complex AGV issues and determine resource needs for resolution
- 7Respond to operational support calls and provide guidance to operators and technicians
- 8Identify recurring issues using reporting tools and contribute to continuous improvement
- 9Document daily activities in CMMS including labor, parts and repair details
- 10Maintain spare parts inventory using an inventory management system
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2Associate degree or skilled trade certification preferred
- 3Demonstrated senior-level expertise in a relevant technical field
- 4Experience performing the responsibilities described above
- 5Strong customer-facing communication skills
- 6Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull wheeled equipment up to 100 pounds
- 7Ability to climb ladders and access elevated areas
- 8Comfortable working in confined spaces, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, vibration, standing on concrete, and wet/uneven environments
