Technical Project Manager, AGV & Warehouse Automation
Overview
You will lead execution of Frito Lay Plant Warehouse's Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), productivity, and maintenance projects at PepsiCo in Dallas, Texas. You will own scoping, design recommendations, and installation support while coordinating cross-functional teams and outside contractors. Manage multiple projects with accelerated timelines and 25%-40% travel. This role provides direct impact on warehouse automation and process improvement.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead scoping and design recommendations for AGV, productivity, and maintenance projects using Engineering principles.
- 2Support installation and start-up activities for new AGV systems, coordinating with vendors and contractors.
- 3Drive cross-functional teams through project execution, applying Engineering problem-solving to unexpected changes.
- 4Develop and execute equipment installation and start-up plans, supervising outside contractors and vendors.
- 5Manage project risks by communicating and mitigating issues across stakeholders.
- 6Partner with OEMs to improve equipment design, upgrades, training, and maintenance initiatives.
- 7Coordinate multiple deliverables, accelerated timelines, and competing priorities across warehouse projects.
- 8Travel 25%-40% to support field installations and project launches.
Requirements10
- 1BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 26-8 years of relevant project management and engineering experience.
- 3Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with cross-functional teams.
- 4Strong analytical and computer skills; CAD skills preferred.
- 5Technical curiosity and innovative thinking to drive transformational change.
- 6Understanding of warehouse and material handling automation technologies and controls.
- 7Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
- 8Warehouse/Distribution Center operations experience preferred.
- 9Project management experience preferred.
- 10Ability to travel 25%-40%.
