Overview
Lead daily operations of an after-school program in Houston, TX, for the 2026-2027 school year. - 1Lead and supervise a team of teachers, ensuring smooth daily program operations from the first week.
- 2Foster a consistent, positive, and engaging environment for students and staff, setting the tone for the year.
- 3Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming after-school program, conducting safety checks and addressing issues immediately.
- 4Coach, motivate, and support staff, upholding company policies and program standards during weekly check-ins.
- 5Collaborate professionally with school administrators, teachers, and district personnel to align program goals.
- 6Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements and school district guidelines, updating documentation as needed.
- 7Maintain accurate attendance, enrollment, and program records using JackRabbit and other technology platforms.
- 8Communicate effectively with families using assigned Google Voice and email accounts, responding within 24 hours.
- 9Build positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and community partners to strengthen program presence.
- 10Support student recruitment and program enrollment efforts by participating in school events and open houses.
Requirements8
- 118+ years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent; coursework in Child Development or Education preferred.
- 2Pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting before start date.
- 3Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- 46+ months of supervisory experience in childcare, education, or related field preferred.
- 5Comfortable using technology and learning new software, including JackRabbit and Google Workspace.
- 6Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills demonstrated in past roles.
- 7Ability to engage, motivate, and supervise children while managing behavior effectively.
- 8Capable of light lifting (up to 25 lbs) and transporting program supplies as needed.
