After School Program - Safety and Support/Door Monitor
Overview
The Safety & Support Lead serves as the primary point of contact for students families and staff during after-school programming. This role maintains a safe welcoming environment by overseeing student release procedures monitoring campus access supporting emergency preparedness and building positive relationships with families and school partners.
What You'll Do7
- 1Ensure students are released only to authorized adults and monitor campus entry points
- 2Conduct safety checks and support emergency drills and response procedures
- 3Serve as a welcoming presence for students families and visitors
- 4Build positive relationships through responsive communication and excellent customer service
- 5Support daily attendance sign-in/sign-out procedures and front desk operations
- 6Assist students who need additional supervision emotional support or a break from activities
- 7Participate in program events trainings meetings and other site initiatives
Requirements7
- 1Available to work consistently during after-school hours throughout the school year
- 2Strong communication organization and problem-solving skills
- 3Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 4Commitment to supporting diverse youth and families
- 5Must pass required background and TB clearances
- 6Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- 7Bilingual skills Spanish Chinese or other languages
