Advanced Practice Provider - Urgent Care, Aurora CO
Overview
Join a new AFC Urgent Care clinic opening in Aurora, CO and own patient care from triage to treatment. You will manage a high-volume of acute cases, order diagnostics, and coordinate with a collaborative medical team. Training occurs at our Castle Rock and SE Aurora locations before the fall 2023 opening. This role stands out for its flexible scheduling, bilingual support, and the chance to shape a new clinic's culture.
What You'll Do7
- 1Conduct complete health histories, review records, and order lab and radiology tests for acute conditions.
- 2Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, and refer patients to specialists or community resources as needed.
- 3Stabilize patients in emergencies like cardiac arrest or anaphylaxis and initiate critical interventions.
- 4Interpret diagnostic data to adjust treatment plans and communicate results to patients.
- 5Educate patients and families on follow-up care, medication, and preventive health measures.
- 6Coordinate with nurses and support staff to maintain efficient patient flow and satisfaction.
- 7Document all patient encounters accurately in the EHR system.
Requirements7
- 1ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA board certification with 1+ year in urgent care or emergency medicine.
- 2Active PA or NP license in Colorado, current DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate.
- 3DOT and Occupational Health certification or ability to certify within 8 months of hire.
- 4Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred to serve diverse patients.
- 5Experience with workers' compensation cases is preferred.
- 6Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and major holidays.
- 7Comfort with high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment and independent decision-making.
