Physician Assistant - AFC Urgent Care (Contract)
Overview
Advanced Practice Provider leading patient care at AFC Urgent Care locations. Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient flow and high satisfaction. Work between Castle Rock Clinic and SE Aurora Clinic. Ideal candidate is compassionate, experienced in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine, and skilled in bedside manner.
What You'll Do8
- 1Perform detailed health histories and develop comprehensive medical assessments
- 2Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies based on patient presentation
- 3Formulate medical diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals
- 4Institute emergency measures for cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions
- 5Interpret patient data to determine status and management needs
- 6Provide health education and guidance to patients and families
- 7Maintain professional appearance and adhere to ANCC AANP or NCCPA board certification standards
- 8Work independently across multiple sites with flexible scheduling including 12-hour shifts
Requirements11
- 1Active Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in Colorado with DEA number and state controlled substance certificate
- 2Minimum one year experience in Urgent Care Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
- 3Occupational Health/WC Level 1 or DOT certification preferred
- 4Valid certification in workplace safety protocols
- 5Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
- 6Experience with electronic health records and coding systems
- 7Ability to pass state licensing exams within 30 days of start date
- 8Valid driver’s license for travel between clinic locations
- 9Background check clearance prior to employment
- 10Proficiency in EHR documentation and billing processes
- 11Commitment to continuing education and professional development
