What You'll Do11
- 1Provide health promotion and assessment diagnosis and management of patient problems using pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions
- 2Conduct triage and therapeutic management across the wellness-illness continuum
- 3Perform external ventricular drain insertion and assist physicians with surgical procedures
- 4Maintain accurate billing coding and documentation
- 5Collaborate on protocol development and evaluate clinical pathways
- 6Floor rounding and provide backup coverage across facilities
- 7Obtain medical histories and interpret diagnostic tests
- 8Formulate and manage patient treatment plans
- 9Ensure compliance with institutional policies and state regulations
- 10Support departmental goals and mentor junior staff
- 11Promote professional growth through continuing education
Requirements5
- 1Licensed to practice professional nursing by the State of Texas
- 2Graduate degree from a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- 3Eligibility for full prescriptive authority by the State of Texas
- 4Certification by a recognized national certification body
- 5Two years clinical experience preferred
