VPEC Advanced Practice Provider
Overview
Vanderbilt Health seeks a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to deliver specialized care across inpatient and outpatient settings. This role drives patient outcomes through collaborative teamwork and evidence based practice.
What You'll Do11
- 1Obtain and document health histories while performing comprehensive physical examinations
- 2Conduct symptom specific assessments and create individualized care plans
- 3Order and interpret diagnostic tests using evidence based protocols
- 4Prescribe therapeutic interventions including medication and non pharmacologic treatments
- 5Manage chronic conditions and coordinate referrals within specialty scope
- 6Facilitate seamless transitions between inpatient and outpatient care settings
- 7Lead specialty consultations upon request and within defined practice areas
- 8Document findings and develop clear plans of care for patients and families
- 9Utilize electronic health records to capture clinical data and support decision making
- 10Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- 11Maintain compliance with professional standards and organizational policies
Requirements9
- 1Minimum 1 year of Advanced Practice Provider experience
- 2Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies
- 3Current Tennessee licensure as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- 4Proven ability to perform full scope of practice including prescribing
- 5Strong communication skills with emphasis on patient centered care
- 6Experience with health systems policy management and patient centered care frameworks
- 7Ability to work in high volume perioperative environments
- 8Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning
- 9Understanding of evidence based practice and clinical inquiry methodologies
