What You'll Do14

  • 1Build positive respectful relationships with participants while promoting dignity choice and independence
  • 2Provide direct support supervise during on‑site and community activities
  • 3Assist with daily living communication social recreational and vocational tasks using IPP and ISP
  • 4Implement positive behavior support strategies following individualized plans
  • 5Encourage life skill development participation in community experiences and celebrations
  • 6Use adaptive communication methods including visual supports and assistive technology
  • 7Maintain safe environment respond to emergencies and monitor participant health
  • 8Document progress services administered and incidents in compliance with regulations
  • 9Communicate professionally with participants families coworkers supervisors and providers
  • 10Attend trainings staff meetings and continuing education opportunities
  • 11Support transfers mobility emergency evacuations and other physical needs
  • 12Follow health sanitation safety HIPAA and licensing requirements
  • 13Contribute to collaborative positive team environment
  • 14Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements6

  • 15+ years supporting adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities autism behavioral health and related services
  • 2High school diploma or equivalent minimum six months experience preferred
  • 3Compassionate patient dependable strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • 4Ability to stay calm professional in varied situations
  • 5Willingness to work in program and community settings
  • 6Certified in CPC Card or BCBA as applicable
