Adjunct Nursing Instructor, Pediatrics & Simulation
Overview
You will teach nursing students in clinical settings and the human patient simulation lab at Macomb Community College. You guide groups of 8 students caring for Pediatric Patients. The role joins a premier community college nursing program focused on accreditation and student success. You hold an active RN License and bring 2+ years of acute pediatric care experience.
What You'll Do8
- 1Teach assigned nursing courses in clinical and simulation settings, guiding groups of 8 students caring for Pediatric Patients.
- 2Maintain course materials in the College’s LMS, including announcements, syllabus, and gradebook.
- 3Update the gradebook weekly and submit final grades by published deadlines.
- 4Collaborate with the department and Learning Unit to meet accreditation standards, including participation in course assessments.
- 5Facilitate student clinical and lab experiences as assigned, ensuring alignment with learning outcomes.
- 6Complete required training for instructional delivery modalities, including online, hybrid, and remote platforms.
- 7Complete training required by clinical agencies and maintain faculty credentials as required by accrediting agencies.
- 8Attend Faculty Development Days and participate in Learning Unit committees as schedule permits.
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
- 2Current State of Michigan RN License required.
- 3Valid Basic Life Support Certificate required.
- 42+ years of full-time, non-teaching work experience in Childhood Nursing within the past 2 years.
- 5Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience working in Pediatrics.
