Overview
Own acute dialysis care for hospitalized patients with end-stage renal disease across ICU, CCU, and ED units in Columbus and Dublin, OH. You'll deliver hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and apheresis while collaborating with hospital teams and DaVita clinical staff. No dialysis experience required: paid training covers all modalities. This role fits nurses who adapt quickly in dynamic settings and rotate between facilities. What You'll Do9
- 1Deliver hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and apheresis for patients in acute care units within the first 90 days.
- 2Collaborate with hospital teams and DaVita staff to coordinate dialysis schedules and care plans.
- 3Monitor patient vitals and adjust treatment parameters to ensure quality outcomes.
- 4Supervise Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) in daily dialysis operations.
- 5Adapt quickly to changing patient needs and unit rotations across Columbus and Dublin facilities.
- 6Rotate between hospital units and manage on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- 7Perform color vision tests as part of patient safety checks (accommodations available).
- 8Document treatment details and patient responses in electronic health records.
- 9Complete paid training in dialysis modalities within the first month.
Requirements8
- 1Current RN license in Ohio (or ability to obtain before start).
- 2ADN required; BSN preferred.
- 3Experience in ICU, CCU, ER, or Med/Surg helpful but not required.
- 4CNN/CDN certification preferred.
- 5Pass a color vision test (accommodations available).
- 6Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by hospitals.
- 7Flexibility to work day shifts, on-call, and rotating schedules.
- 8No dialysis experience required; paid training provided.
