Activities Director owns the full resident engagement program at Pine Acres, coordinating events that meet the social, psycho-social, and therapeutic needs of every resident. What You'll Do6
- 1Design and implement a monthly activities calendar that balances social, physical, and cognitive engagement for all residents
- 2Lead the activities department, setting performance goals and coaching each team member to meet them
- 3Deliver individualized activity plans, collaborating with residents to align programs with their personal goals and preferences
- 4Evaluate program effectiveness through resident feedback and participation metrics, adjusting offerings quarterly
- 5Coordinate with nursing and therapy teams to integrate therapeutic activities into daily care plans
- 6Manage department budget, inventory, and scheduling to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements5
- 12+ years of experience as an Activities Director in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- 2Holds or can obtain NCCAP certification as an Activity Director
- 3Demonstrated success leading and motivating a small team
- 4Proven ability to create and execute engaging programs for seniors with diverse cognitive and physical abilities
- 5Strong organizational and communication skills, with experience documenting resident participation
