Overview

The Academy Exceptional Student Services Lead Coordinator leads ESS department as Team Lead. This role models core virtues while driving organizational logistics and strategy. What You'll Do13

  • 1Oversee caseload distribution and final decisions on student assignments to ESSCs
  • 2Coordinate initial and triennial data reviews gathering classroom observations and SST data
  • 3Facilitate annual IEP meetings and monitor general education teacher implementation of IEPs
  • 4Manage service provider relationships through orientation and coordination
  • 5Review, code, and submit invoices for HM approval
  • 6Serve as ESS team lead providing support for individual and shared responsibilities
  • 7Assist Phoenix Home Office in training ESSCs on special education pedagogy
  • 8Partner with headmaster for community communication and role clarification
  • 9Attend IEP meetings led by ESSCs to provide feedback and guide relational hand-offs
  • 10Review and evaluate IEPs and evaluation reports for accuracy
  • 11Model and guide partnership with general education teachers
  • 12Update program information in SIS for students with changing eligibility
  • 13Lead ESS team to complete year-end responsibilities for proper rollover

Requirements11

  • 1Bachelor's degree required with Master's preferred
  • 2Minimum 3 years experience as special education coordinator
  • 3Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate
  • 4Extensive knowledge of special education processes and compliance requirements
  • 5Strong leadership and coaching skills with high emotional intelligence
  • 6Proven conflict resolution and mediation abilities
  • 7Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 8Experience with Student Information Systems and IEP writing programs
  • 9Physical stamina for standing and repetitive movements
  • 10US work authorization required with OPT/CPT acceptance
  • 11Background check and fingerprint clearance completed
