Overview
Own case management and IEP compliance for students with disabilities at a mission-driven charter network in Tampa. You will serve as the LEA representative, lead IEP meetings, and drive measurable growth, targeting 50% or more of intervention students advancing two or more years in Reading and Math. What You'll Do6
- 1Write and develop compliant IEPs and EPs, completing all eligibility and placement forms per IDEA and Florida mandates
- 2Serve as the LEA representative in IEP team meetings, mediations, and due process hearings, updating campus leadership on policy changes
- 3Adapt lessons and provide consultative or direct instructional support to general education teachers and students with disabilities
- 4Build a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters student character and social-emotional growth
- 5Maintain transparent relationships with families and train staff on IEP implementation
- 6Dedicate 40+ hours weekly, participating in ESE department trainings, campus check-ins, and school functions
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited four-year institution
- 2Active Florida Teaching Certification in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) or a specific exceptionality area
- 3Expert understanding of the referral, evaluation, and placement process
- 4Demonstrated ability to write compliant IEPs and manage student behavior
- 5Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
