Welder, MIG & Stick Welding for On-Site Westmont Facility
Overview
MIG and Stick Welder who will own fabrication and welding of mild steel stainless steel and high-grade alloys at scale in a Westmont IL facility. You will read mechanical drawings set up welding equipment and produce high-quality welds. You will work with a team in a fully on-site manufacturing environment and contribute to on-time delivery and quality standards.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build welds per mechanical drawings and specifications using MIG and Stick welding
- 2Fabricate components and assemblies according to blueprints and assembly drawings
- 3Read and interpret drawings to lay out and weld workpieces with precision
- 4Set up welding machines and operate independently to complete welding tasks
- 5Inspect welds and fabricated components for conformance to specifications
- 6Maintain a clean organized safe work area and follow safety procedures
- 7Complete production documentation and process work in the ERP system on a company tablet
- 8Communicate effectively with supervisors and production personnel
- 9Support overall production goals quality standards and on-time delivery requirements
- 10Operate hand plasma cutter and electric hoists as needed to position components
Requirements10
- 13-5+ years of professional welding and fabrication experience preferred
- 2Strong hands-on experience with MIG and Stick welding
- 3Experience welding mild steel and stainless steel; high-grade alloys is a plus
- 4Ability to read and interpret blueprints mechanical drawings and assembly drawings
- 5Ability to independently set up welding equipment and complete welding assignments
- 6Experience with steel fabrication and component layout
- 7Ability to safely use hand tools power tools plasma cutters and electric hoists
- 8Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- 9Good communication and teamwork skills
- 10Welding certification is preferred but not required
