Web Development Instructor, AI & Web Tech for High School Students
Overview
Lead a Tech Flex Leaders Web Development track for NYC high school students, guiding two cohorts to build real projects over 12 weeks. You will craft engaging sessions, provide feedback, and mentor students in HTML CSS JavaScript and emerging AI concepts. What You'll Do10
- 1Build engaging weekly Web Development sessions for high school students using HTML CSS JavaScript
- 2Lead content delivery and student engagement for two cohorts, 2.5 hours per session
- 3Design remediation plans and offer office hours to support student mastery
- 4Assess student projects with AOT rubrics and deliver timely feedback
- 5Review and adapt the TFL curriculum to ensure clarity and effectiveness
- 6Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere and foster respectful collaboration
- 7Coordinate with the program manager on data submission, attendance, and progress metrics
- 8Maintain readiness for in-person weeks in Manhattan and virtual instruction
- 9Support preparation tasks, assessments, and student office hours outside class time
- 10Participate in program onboarding and team alignment sessions
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or 2-3 years of equivalent experience
- 2Experience in JavaScript HTML CSS and Bootstrap development
- 3Experience teaching coding to high-school students or similar audiences
- 4Ability to explain coding concepts in multiple ways for diverse learners
- 5Awareness of emerging AI trends and AI literacy in education
- 6Strong facilitation and communication skills
- 7Excellent organizational skills and proficiency with Google Workspace
- 8Reliable equipment and internet suitable for online teaching
- 9Experience with browser-based coding platforms like Repl.it Glitch Code Sandbox
- 10Background check clearance and alignment with youth protection policies
