Water Operations Manager – Public Sector Leadership
Overview

What You'll Do9
- 1Oversee daily operations of a city Water Operations Division including distribution and groundwater production
- 2Manage installation and maintenance of water utility systems such as treatment and distribution networks
- 3Review project plans and define scopes while estimating time labor equipment and permits
- 4Coordinate with engineering staff and external agencies to align operational goals
- 5Monitor expenditures and revenues to maintain budget adherence
- 6Prepare and review reports contracts and correspondence related to the Water Division
- 7Maintain regulatory compliance and quality inspection services
- 8Supervise personnel and provide technical guidance on water system operations
- 9Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or GED with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Public Administration Organizational Management Water Science or related field
- 25 years of progressive experience in water system equipment operation and maintenance plus 2 years supervisory experience
- 3Valid Grade V California Water Distribution Certificate and Grade II Water Treatment Certificate
- 4Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship
- 5Valid CA driver’s license and proof of insurance
- 6Ability to commute to South Gate CA
- 7Experience commuting to South Gate CA
