Overview

We seek an experienced Water and Wastewater Operations Technician to support onsite operations at a leading advanced manufacturing facility. This full staffing solution offers 100% employer paid insurance and unlimited PTO. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain ultrapure water production systems while ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement in water efficiency.

What You'll Do13

  • 1Operate and monitor Ultrapure Water production systems including reverse osmosis UV disinfection ion exchange and advanced filtration systems
  • 2Perform preventative maintenance calibration and troubleshooting on pumps valves instrumentation membranes and control systems
  • 3Conduct routine water quality sampling analyzing parameters such as TOC silica metals conductivity and other critical process indicators using laboratory and online instrumentation
  • 4Monitor system performance respond to alarms investigate process excursions and implement corrective actions to maintain high system reliability and uptime
  • 5Ensure compliance with safety environmental and operational procedures including chemical handling protocols and lockout/tagout procedures
  • 6Execute startup shutdown and operational procedures for treatment systems and supporting infrastructure
  • 7Support development and improvement of standard operating procedures maintenance documentation and operational guidelines
  • 8Maintain accurate operational logs process data and inventory records managing critical spare parts and consumables
  • 9Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in plant performance reliability and water quality
  • 10Safely handle and manage treatment chemicals operate associated chemical feed and storage systems
  • 11Interpret and follow technical documentation including P&IDs process schematics and equipment manuals
  • 12Maintain organized work areas and adhere to 5S operational standards
  • 13Support additional operational and maintenance activities as required to ensure reliable facility operations

Requirements12

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2Minimum 2 years of experience in a hands-on technical or industrial operations role
  • 3Associate degree in a STEM-related field
  • 42+ years of experience operating UPW production systems or industrial wastewater treatment systems
  • 5Strong understanding of water chemistry ion exchange processes RO systems and water treatment technologies
  • 6Experience with water quality instrumentation process monitoring systems and basic PLC troubleshooting
  • 7Experience operating within industrial manufacturing or wet laboratory environments
  • 8Ability to interpret P&IDs instrumentation diagrams and electrical schematics
  • 9Experience with safety protocols including lockout/tagout job hazard analysis and chemical safety procedures
  • 10Experience handling hazardous corrosive or flammable chemicals
  • 11Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical teams
  • 12Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
