Service Technician I - Water Treatment
Overview
Service Technician I will own water purification systems at customer sites within a global water technology business. This role involves installing servicing water purification systems and exchanging ion exchange tanks for commercial and industrial applications. You will drive trucks deliver equipment ensure quality specifications perform water sampling and testing execute routine equipment maintenance and support customer relationships.
What You'll Do11
- 1Drive truck to deliver ion exchange tanks and water treatment equipment to customer sites while loading securing and verifying equipment meets quality specs
- 2Load and unload tanks on trucks maintaining accurate inventory on board trucks as required
- 3Complete Vehicle Inspection Reports for pre-trip inspections
- 4Keep accurate inventory accountability at each site and make necessary changes
- 5Communicate changes through proper channels and follow up to confirm implementation
- 6Take water samples and conduct tests including TDS resistivity pH CO2 Cl2 and hardness accurately recording results and suggesting improvements
- 7Rinse ion exchange tanks to customer specifications ensuring quality standards are met
- 8Perform both dry and wet ion exchange tank exchanges
- 9Maintain good housekeeping at vehicles and customer sites following WTS and EHS policies
- 10Assist with equipment or product delivery outside normal scope when needed
- 11Be available on call during non-business hours
Requirements8
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Preferred knowledge of commercial & industrial membrane systems & UV systems
- 3Preferred knowledge of PLC logic programming and ion exchange & membrane theory & operation
- 4HS Diploma GED or equivalent valid driver's license clean driving record
- 5Preferred Associate’s Degree in electrical industrial mechanical engineering or water treatment disciplines college coursework in chemistry
- 6Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification willingness to handle repetitive weight 50 lbs
- 7Ability to work in all weather conditions various environments including industrial manufacturing and power facilities
