Warehouse Quality Checker, Order Auditing & Inspection
Overview
You will own final order accuracy for a high-volume warehouse, manually auditing every outgoing order against paper packing slips to catch picking errors before shipment. You join a team where inventory parts often look identical, so your visual acuity and focus directly prevent costly mistakes. Working onsite in Atlanta, you stand and walk concrete floors, lifting up to 50 pounds, in a role that requires sustained concentration under tight deadlines. This position stands out because it demands paper-based precision over automated tools, offering growth potential with a pay increase upon conversion to full-time.
What You'll Do5
- 1Audit picked orders using paper packing slips, verifying part numbers, quantities, and item matches without RF scanners or automated tools.
- 2Detect and correct part discrepancies, incorrect quantities, and mixed parts during the picking process, flagging errors for immediate resolution.
- 3Inspect small, identical-looking parts to match part numbers, exercising high dexterity and visual scrutiny to spot minute differences.
- 4Maintain accurate quality logs and enter daily audit metrics into Microsoft Office systems, tracking error trends and performance.
- 5Communicate clear, constructive feedback to warehouse pickers and supervisors, highlighting recurring errors and suggesting process improvements.
Requirements7
- 12-3 years of verifiable quality checking or quality inspection experience, specifically in a warehouse or fulfillment setting.
- 2Exceptional visual acuity to differentiate between highly similar parts and identify subtle variations.
- 3Proven composure and accuracy under high-stress, fast-paced conditions with tight deadlines and peak volumes.
- 4Proficiency in reading and checking items against physical packing documents, with strong paper-based tracking skills.
- 5Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for manual data entry and reporting.
- 6Strong verbal and written communication skills to report defects and collaborate with warehouse teams.
- 7Physical ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods and lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
