Warehouse Laborer, Onsite NYC & NJ Logistics
Overview
The role owns hands-on warehouse tasks at a full-time site in New York, NY or nearby, supporting inbound and outbound deliveries for timely project fulfillment. You will work with a small team to keep the warehouse organized, safe, and efficient. Expect physical work beyond forklift operation and a fast-paced environment that values reliability and teamwork. This role is distinct in combining light groundskeeping and site upkeep with standard shipping and receiving duties.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and assist with loading and unloading trucks to move parts, tools, and materials
- 2Handle incoming, outgoing, and internal deliveries while updating status in spreadsheets
- 3Deliver items to technicians and collect orders from vendors or distribution centers
- 4Communicate shipment status and arrival dates with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery
- 5Maintai n a clean, safe work environment and pack/unpack pallets as needed
- 6Assist with groundskeeping and landscaping tasks when required
- 7Operate under direction, taking initiative to stay busy and meet delivery objectives
- 8Support team with packaging parcels and preparing equipment for transport
- 9Coordinate with drivers to ensure routes and timing align with schedules
- 10Maintain documentation and records for shipments and inventory
Requirements10
- 1Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- 2Experience driving 16 ft+ truck and towing trailers (preferred) or equivalent
- 3Forklift certification/license (preferred)
- 4Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- 5Must be able to lift 75 lbs or more
- 6Ability to commute to the warehouse daily
- 7English proficiency; bilingual Spanish/English preferred
- 8Able to work Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:00pm with potential Saturday OT
- 9Willingness to perform groundskeeping and light landscaping as needed
- 10High school diploma or equivalent and reliable attendance
