Warehouse Associate, Order Picking & Packing
Overview
You will own order picking and packing accuracy for Kenco's Austin warehouse, processing outbound shipments for parcel, LTL, and TL carriers. Working within a 3PL environment, you will collaborate with a tight-knit team to maintain inspection-ready standards for SQFI and FDA compliance. Your precision directly impacts customer satisfaction and the pace of daily fulfillment. This role suits a detail-oriented individual who thrives on physical work and clear processes.
What You'll Do9
- 1Pick orders for shipment, verifying correct product type and quantity against pick lists.
- 2Pack orders for parcel, LTL, and TL carriers, ensuring secure and damage-free packaging.
- 3Measure, weigh, and count products, recording data on specified forms and records.
- 4Affix DOT, IATA, and IMDG compliant shipping labels and tracking labels to boxes and pallets.
- 5Inspect containers and products for quality, reporting variances to the supervisor immediately.
- 6Execute and document quality inspections per SOP guidelines, maintaining audit readiness.
- 7Participate in cycle counts and inventory reconciliation to support WMS accuracy.
- 8Operate a forklift or order picker when required to move and retrieve products.
- 9Maintain a clean and orderly work area, performing housekeeping duties as needed.
Requirements7
- 11+ year experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
- 2High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 3Basic computer skills to navigate WMS and handheld scanners.
- 4Attention to detail for accurate order picking and documentation.
- 5Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
- 6Physical capability to stoop, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- 7Commitment to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced setting.
