Warehouse Associate, Home & Office Furniture
Overview
As a Warehouse Associate at CORT Furniture Rental, you will own the loading, unloading, and staging of furniture for daily deliveries in the San Francisco market. You will join a team of 15 warehouse staff and report to the Warehouse Supervisor, ensuring furniture is rental-ready and inventory stays accurate. This role stands out for its immediate full-time hours, Monday-Friday schedule, and cross-training across all warehouse functions with on-the-job certification for forklift operation.
What You'll Do8
- 1Load and unload trucks for daily routes, ensuring no scratches or damage and correct item placement.
- 2Pull and stage furniture for next-day deliveries, verifying accuracy and readiness.
- 3Clean, touch up, and repair furniture to meet rental-ready standards, using tools like staplers and touch-up markers.
- 4Maintain a clean warehouse by breaking down cardboard, dumping trash, and sweeping aisles.
- 5Perform cycle counts and relocate products as needed to maintain inventory accuracy with RF scanners.
- 6Participate in safety meetings, perform daily warm-ups, and comply with all safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
- 7Assist drivers on deliveries when needed, carrying furniture and providing customer-facing service.
- 8Support special projects and cross-train in different warehouse roles to meet daily business needs.
Requirements8
- 118 years of age or older.
- 2Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse.
- 3High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 4Previous warehousing experience preferred; priority given to candidates with relevant experience.
- 5Forklift Operator certification preferred; on-the-job certification provided.
- 6Physically able to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis or 100 pounds with a partner.
- 7Ability to operate equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and stand-up reach trucks.
- 8Must pass drug screening (does not include THC) as a condition of employment.
