Warehouse Associate, Electrical Distributor
Overview
You will own order fulfillment and inventory control at Revere Electric Supply, a 100-year-old electrical distributor. Your work keeps electrical components moving to customers across Chicago. You will join a tight-knit warehouse team in Mokena, IL, reporting to the warehouse lead. This role offers 2 weeks of paid time off in year one, plus paid holidays, with no weekend or holiday work.
What You'll Do7
- 1Pick, pack, wrap, and label orders for delivery or pickup per schedule, ensuring accuracy and speed.
- 2Unload, label, and store incoming stock products using RF scanning and warehouse systems.
- 3Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits with RF scanners to keep stock accurate.
- 4Organize warehouse layout to optimize space and accessibility, using pallet racking and forklifts.
- 5Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse vehicles, performing daily safety checks.
- 6Fill in as a relief driver, delivering orders to businesses in the Chicago metro using a company van.
- 7Keep the warehouse clean and hazard-free, following OSHA guidelines for safe handling.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of warehouse picking and packing experience, preferably with electrical supplies.
- 2Proficiency with RF scanners and inventory management software.
- 3Strong math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide to verify quantities.
- 4Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift.
- 5Valid driver's license with a clean record for occasional delivery runs.
- 6Reliable attendance and punctuality, with flexibility for peak seasons.
- 7Authorization to work in the US and pass a background check and drug test.
