VP of Project Finance Debt Financial Advisory - BBVA

Lead a specialized advisory group focused on offshore wind power and energy transition sectors. Provide high visibility strategic leadership with strong career growth potential. Develop and execute debt advisory solutions across project finance acquisition finance and refinancing while supporting cross functional collaboration.
What You'll Do13
- 1Origination Assistance in formulation of group strategy and deal targeting
- 2Helping originate maintain and strengthen relationships with clients potential clients lenders tax equity investors and due diligence advisors
- 3Participation in marketing efforts and preparation of pitches presentations both internal external
- 4Coordination with internal teams coverage project finance lending syndication global markets to identify opportunities and propose new business ideas
- 5Execution key role in structuring and end-to-end execution of transactions including full ownership of certain deliverables
- 6Communication with clients on transaction aspects for which the person is responsible
- 7Supervision of financial modelling workstream and related analyses optimisation sensitivities valuations model audit
- 8Lead role in preparation of deal materials information memoranda sponsor lender approvals
- 9Assistance in financing and project documentation review negotiations
- 10Liaison and coordination with external advisors for due diligence completion
- 11General training mentoring junior members associates analysts interns
- 12Fostering cross selling of CIB products working in coordination with other relevant CIB teams
- 13Overseeing internal and external administrative tasks travelling required for meetings
Requirements8
- 1Academic background and previous experience master's degree desirable MBA or specialization in Finance
- 26-8 years experience in debt advisory particularly project finance acquisition finance or combined lending advisory and/or M&A advisory with solid deals list including financing structures with tax equity/tax credit
- 3Experienced associates or junior VPs at investment banks advisory firms commercial banks sponsor developer side funds utilities
- 4Strong financial modelling expertise project finance valuation capital stack including tax credits
- 5Fluency in English oral written proficiency in Spanish preferred
- 6FINRA SIE Series 79 Series 63 licenses required
- 7Interpersonal skills ability to work directly with clients supervise mentor junior resources team player independent worker multi tasker time pressure cross functional cross geographic teams
- 8Ability to work with cross functional and cross geographic teams
Salary Insight
$190 - $220k per year
