Overview
Lead the credit union's enterprise data, AI, and software development programs, driving scalable, secure solutions that empower data-driven decisions. Oversee a team of engineers and data professionals, owning strategy from roadmap to delivery. Partner with the CIO and business leaders to pilot emerging tech and modernize member experiences. This role blends hands-on Microsoft SQL expertise with strategic leadership, positioning you as a key technology visionary in a regulated financial environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Define and execute the emerging technology strategy for AI, machine learning, and automation, piloting solutions that modernize processes and support digital transformation.
- 2Oversee enterprise data solutions, including warehousing, integration, and analytics on Snowflake and Databricks, implementing ETL/ELT pipelines with rigorous quality controls.
- 3Provide hands-on Microsoft SQL leadership, directing database architecture, high availability, and performance tuning for mission-critical systems.
- 4Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and semantic models, standardizing data definitions and enabling self-service analytics across the organization.
- 5Lead the AI vision, embedding generative AI and agentic AI into products and processes, ensuring governance, security, and responsible use.
- 6Drive software development using CI/CD and DevOps practices, overseeing API integrations and automated workflows with an architecture-first approach.
- 7Build and mentor high-performing engineering and data teams, attracting talent and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- 8Partner with stakeholders to assess make-or-buy decisions, manage vendor relationships, and integrate marketing technology with enterprise data systems.
Requirements8
- 110+ years in IT with focus on data management, software development, or AI, including 5+ years leading technology teams.
- 2Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data management, AI, or related field.
- 3Expert Microsoft SQL skills, including database design, high availability, and performance optimization.
- 4Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms like Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- 5Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data governance in regulated environments.
- 6Strong knowledge of AI and machine learning frameworks, including generative AI and agentic systems.
- 7Experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools, building semantic models and dashboards.
- 8Track record implementing CI/CD pipelines and secure software development practices.
