VIP Server, Te Deseo Nightlife Dallas
Overview
You will own the VIP guest experience at Te Deseo, a 14,000-square-foot, two-level Latin American-inspired venue with four bars and seven dining rooms in Dallas's Harwood District. You will deliver tableside cocktails, build a loyal clientele, and drive revenue through upselling while working alongside a dedicated nightlife team. As part of Harwood Hospitality Group, you'll join a portfolio of 10+ concepts, including Hotel Swexan. This role stands out for its blend of high-volume service and personalized VIP attention, requiring you to balance speed with genuine hospitality in a dimly lit, high-energy environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Greet each guest with a personalized welcome and take drink orders following Harwood Hospitality bar service standards.
- 2Prepare and serve tableside beverages, pouring well-balanced cocktails and shots with precision in front of guests.
- 3Own presentation setup and delivery for every table, ensuring each drink is a visual experience.
- 4Handle cash and credit card transactions at the POS system, providing itemized bills and secure payment before delivery.
- 5Engage guests in professional, friendly conversation, uncovering preferences to promote and upsell signature drinks and menu items.
- 6Act as an ambassador for Te Deseo, marketing the venue and its offerings to every guest and growing the database of VIP clientele.
- 7Build repeat customer relationships by remembering guest preferences and initiating return visits.
- 8Monitor guest intoxication and alert management when needed, maintaining a safe environment.
- 9Keep assigned areas, side stations, tables, and POS stations clean and fully stocked throughout the shift.
- 10Complete all opening and closing duties, confirming with management before shift end and communicating any guest issues or incidents.
Requirements8
- 121+ years of age with a valid TABC Certification and Food Handlers card.
- 22+ years in a high-volume, service-focused role, with previous Cocktail Server experience preferred.
- 3Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, and champagne/prosecco.
- 4Fluent in English (written and verbal); bilingual skills are a plus.
- 5Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift/carry 20 lbs in a crowded, dimly lit environment.
- 6Willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
- 7Self-motivated with a drive to improve skills and knowledge.
- 8Ability to work effectively with team members and report to the Nightlife Manager.
