Vice President of Finance Metuchen-Edison YMCA
Overview
The Vice President of Finance leads financial strategy and operations for a multi-branch nonprofit focused on youth development healthy living and social responsibility. This leader reports directly to the CEO and provides hands-on oversight of accounting financial reporting compliance budgeting forecasting and treasury functions. The role combines strategic partnership with day-to-day financial management.
What You'll Do9
- 1Develop and execute strategic financial objectives with the CEO and executive team
- 2Act as strategic advisor providing financial analysis and recommendations
- 3Lead long-range financial planning and sustainability initiatives with the CEO and COO
- 4Direct all aspects of financial management and reporting including cash flow investments and risk management
- 5Oversee general ledger accounts payable accounts receivable fixed assets and grant accounting
- 6Administer YERDI fund contributions and coordinate external audits
- 7Ensure compliance with GAAP regulatory requirements and YMCA standards
- 8Lead and develop finance staff fostering accountability and financial literacy
- 9Manage annual operating and capital budgets and prepare monthly financial statements dashboards and KPIs
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree in accounting finance business administration or related field
- 2Seven or more years of progressive financial leadership experience
- 3Strong expertise in accounting budgeting forecasting audits and reporting
- 4CPA MBA or nonprofit experience preferred
- 55+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
