Vibroacoustics and Shock Engineer
Overview
The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Vibroacoustics and Shock Engineer to lead proactive expansion of test practice and enhance cross-disciplinary collaboration. What You'll Do11
- 1Proactively identify areas of necessary development in environmental standards or analysis
- 2Work with management and engage teams to execute Lead technical assessments
- 3Serve as point of contact on multiple programs/projects
- 4Coordinate and contribute to work within and outside of core team
- 5Demonstrate proficiency in dynamic environments testing and instrumentation setup
- 6Provide technical leadership and mentorship to staff
- 7Contribute to engagement with industry and command media updates on test philosophy
- 8Initiate outreach to other engineering departments and program offices for collaborative efforts and funding
- 9Present technical and project status briefings to management and external customers
- 10Travel to customer and contractor facilities to support reviews and testing
- 11Lead development of vibroacoustic analysis and shock assessment methodologies
Requirements13
- 1Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Structural or Aerospace Engineering or similar field
- 26 or more years of applicable professional or academic experience
- 3Experience in dynamic environments testing instrumentation selection and analysis
- 4Working knowledge of finite element analysis and statistical energy analysis
- 5Experience with spectral analysis of dynamic signals and Wave6 software
- 6Ability to present results effectively in briefings and technical reports
- 7Current and active TS/SCI security clearance with U.S. citizenship
- 8Minimum 10 years of professional or educational experience in structural dynamics
- 9Relevant experience in spacecraft vibroacoustic and shock analysis and testing
- 10Advanced degree(s) preferred with coursework in structural dynamics
- 1115 or more years of experience in structural dynamics or related field
- 12Proficiency in commercial vibroacoustic and finite element analysis tools
- 13Hands-on hardware experience in testing or production environments
Salary Insight
$117 - $227k per year
