Vehicle Zone Administrator, Lot Operations & Safety
Overview
Own vehicle placement and movement across a designated zone at Cox Automotive's Manheim auction lot in Pittsburgh. Coordinate with supervisors and lot ops dashboards to stage vehicles safely and efficiently. Drive continuous improvement in safety and movement. Work onsite with a team of crew leaders and managers. This role offers a direct path to lot operations leadership through hands-on vehicle handling and process optimization.
What You'll Do10
- 1Organize vehicle placement within the assigned zone to the defined standard set by lot operations leadership.
- 2Use daily supervisor and Lot Ops dashboard data to make move decisions for the zone area.
- 3Drive continuous improvement in safety and efficient vehicle movement in and out of the zone.
- 4Move and stage vehicles safely, segmenting into proper work destinations to reduce multiple drop-off points and less-than-full loads.
- 5Confirm vehicles operate safely, engaging service and towing teams for inoperable units.
- 6Label vehicles with sale and routing labels to keep movements accurate and cut crew leader printing.
- 7Communicate inventory levels and priorities with crew leaders and managers within the move area.
- 8Champion Cox/Manheim values and ensure respectful treatment of all employees.
- 9Implement company policies on employee and customer conduct, and model safety behaviors.
- 10Perform other duties as assigned and work overtime as business needs dictate.
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma/GED and 3 years experience in a related field, or any degree/certification beyond HS/GED in a related discipline, or 5 years experience in a related field.
- 2Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
- 3Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
- 4Basic mechanical knowledge: identifying flat tires, low gas, jump-starting vehicles.
- 5Preferred: 6 months auction or driving experience.
- 6Preferred: Knowledge of lot operations/lot layout.
- 7Preferred: Knowledge of LDM (Lot Management System).
- 8Physical: stand, walk, reach, talk, hear; vision including close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- 9Stand for prolonged periods, lift 1-15 pounds, and walk long distances.
- 10Work in outdoor weather conditions with moderate noise level.
