Overview

You will own integration and maintenance of our autonomous driving platform at AeroVect, a Series A company transforming ground handling for major airlines. You'll build, test, and sustain the electrical and mechanical systems of our self-driving vehicles, working directly with the Hardware team. This role combines hands-on fabrication with cutting-edge autonomy technology and a SaaS model.

What You'll Do5

  • 1Assemble cable harnesses, fabricate mounts, and integrate OTS components into our autonomous platform.
  • 2Follow schematics, diagrams, and written specs to complete assembly and integration tasks.
  • 3Maintain and improve reliability of current vehicle autonomy systems, including all electrical and mechanical aspects of our sensing and actuation platform.
  • 4Collaborate with the Autonomy Engineering team to calibrate and integrate perception, planning, navigation, and control systems.
  • 5Support workshop management by stocking consumables, maintaining tools, and keeping workspaces organized.

Requirements5

  • 1Multiple years integrating both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • 2Familiarity with manufacturing equipment: drill presses, miter saws, and digital voltmeters.
  • 3Experience with power electronics, servicing industrial batteries of varied chemistries, and implementing DC-DC and DC-AC converters.
  • 4Prior experience developing and supporting autonomy for a production ground vehicle subsystem or research prototype.
  • 5Proficiency with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides (or Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
