What You'll Do8
- 1Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in offices, hallways, lobbies, and stairwells, ensuring spotless surfaces in high-traffic zones.
- 2Disinfect high-touch items like desks, door handles, phones, and office tools to maintain a hygienic workspace.
- 3Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure paper products and soap are always available.
- 4Remove trash and recycling, wipe down cans, and replace liners to keep waste areas tidy.
- 5Wash windows, mirrors, and glass partitions using proper techniques to avoid streaks.
- 6Maintain cleaning inventory, track supply levels, and request replacements via your supervisor when stock runs low.
- 7Report unsafe conditions or equipment needing repair to supervisors, following safety guidelines on chemical use and lifting.
- 8Complete a daily cleaning chart, logging areas cleaned and inspected, and ensure doors are locked at shift end.
Requirements8
- 11+ years in commercial janitorial work or a similar role.
- 2Capable of lifting 50 pounds and standing or walking for full shifts.
- 3Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper dilution, and safe handling.
- 4Ability to follow written instructions and work without constant supervision.
- 5Comfortable using cleaning equipment like buffers, carpet extractors, and vacuum cleaners.
- 6Reliable transportation to move between assigned locations as a floater.
- 7Flexibility to work nights and weekends, including closing shifts.
- 8Basic reading and writing skills to log completed tasks.
