What You'll Do12

  • 1Demonstrate safety leadership by promoting Safe Work Practices and documenting required protocols
  • 2Respond to utility work requests supporting commercial and industrial programs including surge protection and EV initiatives
  • 3Conduct field assessments of substations distribution lines and service panels
  • 4Coordinate with utilities emergency agencies customers and subcontractors following hurricane responses
  • 5Document findings repairs and recommendations in detailed reports
  • 6Participate in client meetings for pre and post-storm evaluations
  • 7Implement communication processes to achieve successful outcomes
  • 8Manage subcontractor activities including proactive process development
  • 9Travel throughout Florida on short notice and work irregular hours
  • 10Maintain valid driver’s license and physical stamina for outdoor fieldwork
  • 11Drive storm response protocols within incident command structures
  • 12Lead field operations for utility distribution system maintenance and restoration

Requirements9

  • 1Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience as licensed electrical contractor troubleman operational electrical engineer journeyman lineman or electrical distribution technician
  • 2Minimum 5 years experience in electric utility distribution system maintenance construction and operations
  • 3Proven experience with storm response protocols and emergency electrical restoration within incident command structures
  • 4Strong understanding of electrical codes safety standards and utility infrastructure
  • 5Minimum 5 years experience communicating with utility customers
  • 6Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Florida on short notice
  • 7Preferred certifications in electrical safety disaster recovery or storm response
  • 8Physical ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
  • 9Experience leading contractors in operational settings
